Chris, I just wanted to let you know I'm reading, (or subscribing, If I can ever figure out how) and incredibly inspired already. Your faith, and determination to seek and find the truth is so very motivating, and encouraging to me. I couldn't be any more proud to simply know you, and love you and your family.

Merry Christmas!!!

Thanks Chaplain Olson for your comment. I appreciate you reading my blog, and hope you don't mind me linking to you. You do a great job of showing what it is that chaplains do. I think some of my family members will find that interesting.

Thanks for your honest thoughts on this subject. Up until seven months ago I pastored a church 30 miles north of Chattanooga that my wife and I helped plant seven years ago. Over the years, many people came through the doors that loved the church and what we were doing in the community, but would not continue with us because we used the ESV instead of the KJV. I found myself struggling with this dilemma and finally decided that I needed to be true to my convictions about the need for translations that were readable and easily understood by those whom I was reaching out to - the unchurched. I am sorry that so many have turned against you! It is because they love their religion more than they love their Lord. May God bless you all as you pursue the chaplaincy.

For God and Country!!
